Artist's Comments

Vines extending and climbing on hearts, and a girl with a sad face...with a single black teardrop.

This is a representation of empathy, misunderstanding, and loneliness.

Influences: Tegan aka ~glittersniffer, Frida Kahlo, vines, Naruto, Blade Runner, and The Dresden Dolls

My head is always messy so don't blame me if i do messy things lol !

Well, I intentionally kept the face unfinished so the viewer could picture the girl's impression, or let the viewer think about the time when he/she felt misunderstood and lonely, and was always there for others regardless how she/he felt from inside.

Now that I know you...your emotions, at least. I really enjoy reviewing your work. Sadness is such a drving emotion for artists. I love the green eyes wide shut. Beautiful, sister. too bad we have to be in pain to create good art. I wish to see a close of those beautiful eyes. Just an idea. :)

I'm filled with emotions and experiences. When I stumbled across your work, I saw someone with common things...that you pour your feelings on canvas of sadness, and yet struggle to overcome that feeling with God's mercy. Sometimes we lose our faith, but we struggle to maintain it. I wrote an essay of some sort about Islamic spirituality and how to imply it within our lives, whether one's a Muslim, an atheist, or whatever he or she may be. Okay, it's actually on my MSN blog. Lol.

Thank you.

Well, maybe I'll draw more eyes in the future. I'm an eye fetish for some reason. Lol. Eyes are beautiful.

true artists make us feel. THis goes for all forms of art. Yep, yep, you're right again. I don't think I've lost faith. Because prior to this "state" I was so full of Imaan. I keep thinking perhaps it wasn't genuine because I had all I ever needed. Love was one of them.

But thriough this whole ordeal, I've learned so much about the world, my family, myself...that the truth has saddened me. disgusted me. pained me. Now, I have to let these experieces better guide me in the future. That's what I am currently battling. Letting go of the past and living for the present. Well, I'll just keep rambling.........

Yea, everyone has a fetish for eyes. I agree.

Yeah, letting go of the past is difficult, but eventually, you learn to let go of it somehow. No, it's ok, I like to listen to others. Stay strong and I will too.

Yeah, and I love eyes with kohl especially.
